Enabling JavaScript on your Browser


Users with IE 4 to IE 6, and Netscape 4.x and 6.1, can follow these steps to enable Javascripting on their browser.

Internet Explorer 6

  1. Select “Tools” from the menu.
  2. Select "Internet Options...".
  3. Click on the "Security" tab at the top of the Internet Options window.
  4. From the list of zones at the top of the Security options select the internet icon.
  5. Select the "Custom Level" button toward the bottom.
  6. In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the item that reads "Active Scripting".
  7. Select the option marked "Enable".
  8. Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Security Settings window.
  9. Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Internet Options window.

Internet Explorer 5.x

  1. Select “Tools” from the menu.
  2. Select "Internet Options...".
  3. Click on the "Security" tab at the top of the Internet Options window.
  4. From the list of zones at the top of the Security options select the internet icon.
  5. Select the "Custom" button toward the bottom.
  6. In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the item that reads "Active Scripting".
  7. Select the option marked "Enable".
  8. Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Security Settings window.
  9. Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Internet Options window.

Internet Explorer 4.x

  1. Select “View” from the menu.
  2. Select "Internet Options...".
  3. Click on the "Security" tab at the top of the Internet Options window.
  4. From the list of zones at the top of the Security options select the internet icon.
  5. Select the button near the bottom that reads custom and click on the settings button.
  6. In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the item that reads "Active Scripting".
  7. Select the option marked "Enable".
  8. Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Internet Options window.

Netscape 6.1

  1. Select "Edit" from the menu.
  2. Select the "Preferences...".
  3. Click on the "Advanced" label displayed in the list of options on the left hand side of the Preferences window.
  4. On the right hand side select the checkbox marked "Enable Javascript for Navigator".
  5. Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Preferences window.

Netscape 4.x

  1. Select "Edit" from the menu.
  2. Select the "Preferences...".
  3. Click on the "Advanced" label displayed in the list of options on the left hand side of the Preferences window.
  4. On the right hand side select the checkbox marked "Enable Javascript".
  5. Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Preferences window.
