Aylos Bay Hotel and Garden Restaurant

Aylo's Bay in Atimpoku is an ideal spot from which to visit the Volta Dam and to enjoy a dazzling view that includes the spectacular bridge which acts as a gateway to the Volta Region.
Located on the riverbank, 500m. from the Adomi bridge, on the Akosombo road, Aylos Bay offers both an excellent outdoor restaurant and comfortable accommodation at very affordable rates.
The restaurant serves both Western and Ghanaian dishes and the cooking, under the supervision of the owners, is of a high standard, using only the freshest ingredients. This means that special dishes should be ordered in advance to ensure that local delicacies like shrimps are available. The casual visitor is assured of personal attention and swift service, while parties of up to a hundred can be accommodated by arrangement.
The accommodation consists of three beautifully appointed chalets with self-catering facilities, and three additional double rooms. The chalets overlook the river and breakfast, included in the cost of an overnight stay, is served on a platform built over the water.
The bungalows are 34 sqm, clean, and self contained with air conditioning, kitchenette and fridge. Price with AC is $30, without AC is $15, and camping is $3. A large balcony overlooks the Volta River bank with its boat landing facilities and a floating restaurant.
The banks of the river have been cleared of weed and swimming is perfectly safe, despite the depth of the water and its relatively cool temperature.
Fishing from the floating jetty is an added attraction, as is the Aylo'ss Bay canoe, which is available for trips on the lake.
The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Ayim, take pride in seeing to the comfort of their visitors, and are continuing to improve and expand the facilities they offer guests.
